Day 1

Things were pretty crazy once Dallas got here, I didn’t even get to see her for more than 30 seconds before the doctors and nurses were doing all the things they needed to do to make sure she was healthy. Once all that was done and doctors attending to me, we were left alone as a family with periodic checkups in the first two hours for both baby and I. They wouldn’t let me get up without nurses help from the epidural, but once they finally did I was able to put on some fresh jammies and clean myself up a bit. Around 10:30am we had our first visitors which were grandma and grandpa (she already has them wrapped around her finger 😉) and they took care of me too and brought me the ever so needed Diet Coke from McDonald’s and it was just as amazing as I thought it’d be. We spent the next couple hours hanging out with the new cutie in the world, talking about the experience at the hospital, and spending time together just us as a family. Around 3:30pm Dallas got to meet her big brother, Anthony Jr., before he went home for the night and after that it was just daddy, mommy, and Dallas for the remainder of the night. Dallas got to watch her first Friday Night Smackdown with daddy and surprisingly slept pretty good until they had to take her to do her hearing test which took 1.5 hours and it was the longest time of my life waiting for her to get back, but she passed with flying colors!
